What a day!

The  MBE University and Prince George's County Conference & Expo held on Wednesday, November 12 at the College Park Marriott Hotel and Conference Center was a great success.  Nearly 300 business men and women attended the event which featured nine workshops, one-on-one matchmaking appointments, a keynote luncheon presentation by Robert Wallace and comments from Prince George's County Executive Rushern Baker and the Governor's Office of Minority Affair's Special Secretary Zenita Wickham Hurley.

A special thanks to our sponsors, matchmakers and presenters for making it a great day for business development.

HISTORY

The MBE University Conference was created by the O'Malley-Brown Administration in 2009 to provide a platform for creating connections that expand opportunities for small, minority- and women-owned businesses. This unique forum combines networking, matchmaking and professional development opportunities with educational programs focused on public and private sector procurement strategies.  The collegiate atmosphere creates an open exchange of information and ideas that benefits all participants.

The MBE University Conference has been hosted at locations across Maryland, drawn over 2,700 participants to date and become the gathering place for all stakeholders who support diversity.

MBE University is not a postsecondary educational program or course.
