Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development
Small business owners and residents can assess a number of programs through the Housing and Community Development agency for activities such as demolition, facade restoration, revitilization and more. There are also a number of programs to help residents and landlords.

Howard County's executive department has set up a web page to provide current information about recovery efforts. It's a comprehensive look at the day-to-day activities and provides valuable information about electricity and gas restoration, Main Street access for small business owners and residents, and how to seek clean-up assistance. U.S. Small Business Administration
Governor Hogan's request for a physical disaster declaration for Howard County was approved by the U.S. Small Business Administration on August 11th giving small businesses in Ellicotty City and surrounding areas impacted by the story access to low-interest disaster recovery loans from the SBA.
